One of Lillian August’s latest inspirations, Luxe Modern, beautifully marries sophistication and simplicity, creating a unique set of products which can become staples for the home of today. We had the opportunity to experience this collection at Fall High Point Market 2019. Immediately we were drawn to the textural, luxurious approach to layering greys, taking the color scheme to new heights. Newly reimagined, the ever-so-popular grey now projects a new aesthetic layered with sophiticated variations of pattern and texture.
Chairs in a classic cut grey velvet with legs in a washed neutral mineral finish set the tone for monochromatic layers. The defining vignette in the setting presented a pair of chairs in a cosmetic blush velvet flanking a server, with an ottoman in a platinum leaf finish with a luxe textile woven in light and dark greys floating between the two. Embroidered rose metallic chevron, a lustrous charcoal velvet, and a distressed grey woven fabric round out the layered textures and tones of grey. The result is an elegant, clean aesthetic which will create an inviting and welcoming space in any modern home.
