Our resident style expert and designer extraordinaire, Emily Ebben, was featured in this month’s issue of MKE Lifestyle! Emily’s tips and advice are often sought out by clients, and we’re so excited she was able to share her thoughts with the Milwaukee community.
In the article, she shared some great tips for making your space feel warmer, the best ways to incorporate color, and why she has finally embraced brown leather.
Emily believes any space can benefit from something organic, whether an earthy texture or tone, to help make it feel warmer – even the most modern spaces! Accessories, rugs, and custom upholstery are a great way to achieve that. Our showroom has a wonderful selection of options.
Brown has been a major trend in design, and Emily’s been hesitant. Rightfully so, as the ‘90s chocolate brown leather hasn’t exactly withstood the test of time! Fear not, though, as Emily said the camel/bourbon tone is a great alternative to gray and makes for a wonderful way to warm up your space.
She even touched on the use of wallpaper, which is making a major comeback in home design. No, not your grandma’s dated floral print paper. Wallpaper of today is a great way to add personality and texture to a space. “Wallpaper is as much the jewelry in a space as the supporting accessories and fabrics,” says Emily.
