Thanksgiving is just a week away, which means people are gearing up for holiday shopping. It also means we’re so close to one of our favorite days of the year – Small Business Saturday! This year’s event will be held on Saturday, November 27th, 2021.
For over a decade, American Express has hosted this annual event as a way to promote small, locally owned businesses in communities across the U.S. We’re proud to be family owned and operated and have loved seeing the awareness this great event brings each year.
If you’re not familiar with Small Business Saturday, allow us to provide a brief description. Held on the Saturday after Thanksgiving each year, it’s a campaign designed to encourage holiday shoppers to visit and support shops, service providers, and other businesses which are owned and operated by members of their community. By doing so, you’re not just bringing revenue to the business itself, but keeping tax dollars within your neighborhood. Simply put, supporting local businesses for your holiday shopping (and your day-to-day shopping, as well!) is one of the best ways to support your community.
